An experience designed to evoke big emotions demands a lot from the identity of those delivering that experience. A lot of thought, craft and ingenuity is required. Independent of communication channels, components such an identity has to be scalable and flexible.

By close collaboration with the client, the details and conceptual thought have led the way to the end result. And the result works for all touch points as it creates clarity, consistence, emotion and recognition.

SF Bio’s identity is built on a streamlined approach with strong foundations. An approach where the typeface takes center stage.
A completely new typeface designed to appeal to a wide target audience. A typeface with specific characteristics and a distinctive signature.

Jesper Robinell, Creative Director

Tobias Eriksson, Senior Designer

Oscar Bauer, Design Director

We think this is one of the first times a typeface has its own tone of motion, an animation concept based on the classic countdown used in the swedish cinema for ages.

Oscar Bauer, Design Director

This typeface flirts with the past but has its eyes firmly set on tomorrow. Sorry that you can’t try the Display cut, we have to keep some secrets.

The multiple red colours also works really well in the illustration style we developed. This can express different moods, from summer vibes to autumn darkness with all the emotions they project, playing on the core idea of delivering “big emotions”. In this little short ad, it was applied by ad agency Actionist.

Oscar Bauer, Design Director

The app was developed by Mobiento, utilizing very well the notion of light and dark that we set as a base for all communication.

Here is an example of the playfulness of SF Bio Display and how the typeface can progress when it comes to colour treatments for future projects and initiatives (sub-brands and campaigns).
