Today, it's evolving into a more diverse innovation district where research, entrepreneurship, culture and city life coexist. Our task was to reposition Kista through a new brand strategy, visual identity, tone of voice and digital experience creating a brand that reflects not only where Kista comes from, but where it's headed.

Technology was never Kista's greatest asset. People were. Researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, students and global companies have been crossing paths here for decades, turning ideas into businesses and research into real-world impact. That insight became the foundation of the brand. Rather than focusing on technology itself, we focused on the thing that makes innovation possible: the meeting between people, disciplines and perspectives.

Always in motion

Kista has never stood still. For decades, the district has been shaped by constant change; new ideas, new companies, new technologies and new ways of thinking. That mindset defines the motion language. Geometric forms continuously open, close and transform, revealing new content as the identity moves through different applications. Typography follows the same principle, briefly passing through moments of experimentation before resolving into clarity.

One unifying language

The idea of crossing paths extends throughout the identity. Typography, logotype, iconography and graphic elements are all built from the same geometric language, creating a system where every part feels connected. Inspired by Kista's technical heritage but shaped for its next chapter, the identity balances precision with warmth. Confident enough to support groundbreaking ideas, approachable enough to welcome everyone contributing to the district's future.

Kista is no longer defined solely by what happens inside its offices, labs and testbeds. As the district grows into a place for work, life and everything in between, the identity grows with it. Adapting naturally to new initiatives, experiences and the communities that bring them to life.
